Product features special characters

Hi

 

In certain cases on adding product features to a product an error gets thrown up because of the use of mathematical operands (specifically '=<>' in my case) which is inconvenient because of the nature of the products I'm trying to list. To make matters worse any product features added, after the one containing the error causing operand, the data gets lost completely, even if the data had previously been committed.

 

What I'd like to know is what field in the validate.php I need to edit which will allow me to include the operands '=<>' in the features data I or anyone else inputs.
