external link on top horizontal menu

Hi

 

In the top horizontal menu module at the bottom of the page is possible to add an external link.

In prestashop 1.6.1 is not working for me

 

I write a label, I add the link and save it, then I add it to the list of links to show, in the front page appears the button , but the address of the link is malformed

 

The link points to "shopaddress/language/linkaddress"

 

For example lets say the shop address is myshop.com and language is english, the link is myotherwebsite.com, the link created will be myshp.com/en/myotherwebsite, clicking it of course directs to a "404 page not found" warning page

 

Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Thank you for the hint, it does not work, but I tried on another surely working installation and it is OK, so I guess it is a problem with the template.

I have to reinstall it all, after installing the template I can check if that is the culprit.
