Hi

 

I've got a thread going here but I've been unable to get to the bottom of the issue:

As you can hopefully gather, the site fails to "Show All" search results if there are more than about 500. I'm sure it's something or nothing but I've tried everything I can think of with no luck.

 

I'm now offering £25 for 1 hour of a PS/Apache specialist's time and I'm hoping that you'll be able to fix the issue and possibly appear some other optimisations too. I'd like you to have a remote desktop section with me so I can see what changes are being made so I'll know for the future.

 

Is this of interest to anyone?

Would anyone be interested in doing an hour's remote desktop now and show me what setting(s) I've got wrong? Guessing it's a piece of cake for someone that understands servers.

When you search a term and the results are over 500, which is the reaction of your site? Blank page without details? Blank page with a few lines (explanation of the error)? Is the error report enable? A screenshot would help I guess. Anyway if you are being hosted in a shared server the most possible answer to your query is that there may be timeout because of the time that's needed for the search query to be executed. If so, you either limit your results somehow or your upgrade your server.
