Problem after moving PS 1.6

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just moved an installation (v1.6) from /new/ to root.

The proces I followed:

1. Moved files from /new/ to root.

2. Changed 'physical_uri' from /new/ to / in database.

3. Site is not loading. Get white screen.

Everything worked fine when it was in /new/.

Is there some step I missed? Maybe some other issue?

Anybody got an idea?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: No, I'm not from the future. Version is 1.6.

Are you from the future :-) 1.6.1 will be out tomorrow. And 1.7 maybe next year.

But to your question, can you access back office ? Try to go to Preferences > SEO&URLs and see

what is there in folder field.

Also in database check, think it is ps_shop_url . One more thing is to delete htaccess file in your root folder.

@razaro:

I don't have access to admin.

There's no .htaccess in root. At least not visible. (tried forcing show unvisible using filezilla.)

Maybe I could contact host to see if there's one or not?

Does Prestashop create a new one after I delete that?

I've changed ps_shop_url to /.

Now site loads in right url domain/index.php where before I got redirected to domain/new/index.php.

But I still get same white screen. (If I look at page source there's nothing there, not even <html><head>...nothing.)

Another thing:

I had some problems deleting folder like 'admin-domain', 'cache', 'img', 'modules', few more.

I changed the filenames, added .old.

Is it possible that causes any problems?

No you should see .htaccess file in fillezilla if it is there.

Why are you deleting those folders ?

Also try to enable debug mode and see if error messages wil show up instead white screen.

And if you have error.log in root directory check that also for some clues.

@razaro:

I cannot find .htaccess file in filezilla. Where should it be?

I was deleting those folders to empty the server from the previous installation.

There's no error log in root.
