PatJ
Hello, I am testing PS 1.6.14 before going in production. I tried to add the favicon in my theme, but I can't see in my shop in front office, it does not show. The favicon is visible corectly when in the backoffice, near the name of the page (I guess it is the same file ?) When I go to add it in the theme settings, there is no error but there is always a "?" showing instead of the logo. The favicon file is the same as the one in my working 1.4.9 Prestashop So I don't understand what is wrong. Any idea ? Thank you Patrice

PatJ
Hello, Attached is the code. Actually, the template used is the default template. (same problem) Looking for "favicon" in the code show that the file should be /PS1611/img/favicon.jpg I tried to modify the extension of the file, I checked permission, no change If I try to open the file with Firefox (or other web software) it opens correctly. Thank you for any idea about this problem code.htm
Franck K.
Hello. If you can open the file directly with browser using the same path, for me there is just one thing you need to check : cache. Empty your browser cache, and refresh multiple time your page using CTRL + SHIFT + R (hard refresh). I have noticed sometimes that favicon are not deleted from cache at first time, and it need to be hard refreshed multiple times. If it's not working, try to remove the "microsoft type favicon" line, and remove the "shortcut " from the rel parameter of the second favicon line. Then delete the cache. Good luck ! PatJ
Hello, Sorry for not answering before, I couldn't work on this problem for a while. At first, I thought the cache was not the reason, because I had the problem on several different install I made as test. But this morning, I moved again from default template to my own template and the favicon is now showing. So maybe the cache was the reason ( ?? ) . I don't really understand what was the problem, but anyway, thank you for helping me
