porzlowski
Help needed After long preparation, modification theme and filling shop with products and catalog I faced disaster. I wanted to make backup copy of /htdocs folder from my server. What I did perform was really bad in consequences. I used Filezilla FTP to make a copy on /htdocs folder. By mistake I moved folder to my PC from server. There was no single glitch or error showed by ftp client. As I realized my mistake I did copy back whole folder to server. No problems faced at this stage as well. I open my website and than I faced shock. Blank page no information. I called to my Host to find out why my shop doesn't work at all. Surprise there is no Files in /config folder. I was advised to copy this files to this folder as without them my web will not work at all. Surprise #2 no files on my PC /config folder as well. I do not know how this happen, not a single idea. Is anyone face such disaster and is able to help to recover from that? Is there a way to re-install fresh copy of Prestashop on server and re-connect to existing mysql database? I really need help as my [spam-filter] smile is vanished from her beauty face and I may be enemy soon. many Thanks in advance
tuk66
Try to install a temporary second shop instance on the server. Then you will probably able to copy all /config files. The only important is /config/settings.inc.php.
selectshop.at
Your provider does not have any (older) security copy of your host in order that you can restore ? New install and reconnect to your database only possible if you have also a copy of your old /config/settings.inc.php, cause you need the cookie_key for match with your database one.If you don't have a match, dabatase is useless. During install process Prestashop writes the keys in pair and they are checked. If not same on script and database, database will not work.
