Uploaded Product Images are showing question mark

dimanapp

Question

Hi *,

seems to be a common topic on the forum, but none of the previous posts have helped so far. I am using Prestashop cloud, and have created my lovely products. Now to make it complete I wanted the images that have been prepared. The aspect ratio of original images was 1.2:1 and the resized JPG/PNG files are about 40-100kb.

After the upload it shows a question mark, when I click on it the picture appears in full.

On the webpage it shows a question, and clicking on it, it does not appear either.

I have tried:

1. Regenerating thumbnails

2. Setting friendly url to Yes

3. Tried to connect via ftp but I do not have access to /img/p/folder

4. Changing the aspect ratio to 1:1

I'm out of ideas, could you please lend me a hand. Thanks guys.

Cheers,

Marcel

My cloud version is 1.6.0.14. Currently I am using English/Czech languages.

For the combinations its a variation of size/color. There are sizes and colors which are not yet prepared, but this should not cause a problem?

Right guys and girls I have SOLVED it!

It is in the Preferences image section. You have to have the different image sizes with the correct name underscores setup. Its through this setting the thumbnails are created and it was specifically the large_default that is used on the shop page. Check my previous images and the current setup.

Thanks for all the help.

sorry I do not understand your solution.

I have this exact setup.

If you mean your template was refering an image format (the thing you call name with underscore) that you did not generate then, yes this causes image broken on the front office.

It all depends on your theme templates ... content in purple below should match one of your thumbnail settings for product

{$link->getImageLink($product->link_rewrite, $cover.id_image, 'thickbox_default') ...

I Have a clean install of 1.6.0.14 running the default theme(bootstrap). In the front office the product pictures are not showing up, just question marks. All other picture are working.

I have tried regenerating the picture in preferences/images. Does not solve the problem

I can also load the pictures by typing in the location in the url.

The only thing I can see as being the problem is the code retrieving the image

This I why I'm asking which file the code is in and where it is located.

A bit of added info on the above

when right click view source on the front web page this is where it is directed to retrieve the image from

<a class="product_img_link" href=http://www.mysite.com/cases/9-cooler-master.html" rel="http://www.mysite.com/cases/9-cooler-master.html">

Now the image is actually located at http://www.mysite.com/img/2/5/25-home_default.jpg.

note the "cases" directory does not exist as a folder on my server.

You are running on Cloud Prestashop your site ? If yes, please use the support option on your Cloud dashboard. See picture attached.
