fitgura
Hi all! I would place a NUMBER of the order into the notification mail we get with the mailalert module, when a new orer placed! Because with this new system in 1.6 really hard to search the orders in the back office (I mean the generated GWJGWGSXA kind of codes) In ps 1.4 the placeholder was the same as now {order_name} Could you please explain me how to put the order ID too into the mail what is a number! Thanks in advance I use ps 1.6.0.14 Edited March 31, 2015 by fitgura (see edit history)
bellini13
Why is it hard to search for orders using the order reference number? It is a searchable field in the orders page, and you can even copy/paste it into the back office search field on the menu
fitgura
Yes I know! but belive me much easier to recognise a number with eye, even if a hundreds of order coming a day! When you need to filter an order wich is easier?: - with right hand put a number to the search field from a printed email - or type the generated 9digit code??? I think the first soulution should better for anyone! That is why I need to take the order id into the mailalert email..
bellini13
i just open the email, copy and paste and click search. you'll need to edit the mailalerts module, and switch the $order->reference to the $order->id
