Domain redirects and URL is rewritten

I have an existing domain name that I told presta about. Instructions said to change A class DNS entry to point to an IP address. I did that, but now when I visit the domain it just redirects to mysubdomain.pswebstore.com.

 

How do I make it so that the user stays on my domain?

Ok, I have not done this, but I think this is what you would do next.

back office-->preferences-->seo & urls-->(find Manage Domain Name)-->click 'Add Domain Name'

you will be directed to My Store

click 'Add a domain'

and follow those instructions.

I should have mentioned I am using the cloud version.

 

So I go to the dashboard -> preferences -> SEO and URLS -> Add a domain name

 

This redirects me to the main portal for my store. This is where I had already tried to add the domain before my original post.

 

For fun I tried it again away. I click on "I already have a domain" and enter my domain name. This time it says "This domain name is already registered".

 

But it still doesnt work. My domain redirects me to mystoreaddress.pswebstore.com. Is it supposed to be able to use my domain instead of just redirect?

as I don't use the cloud that is as far as I could take you from the shop I created in cloud.

what is your new front office url? it might be simply you have browse cache issue, I can test it from my browser...

It sounds like this is a known bug that is hit when you have tried to "register" the domain more than one time with presta.

In Prestashop cloud you need to click on my store.

 

Then you in your store's domain you need to have your domain set as the primary domain, and the prestashop domain as no. See the screen dump below

If you have several domain names, make sure you've set the one you want as primary domain.
