Multistore vs "separate installation"

Hi,

 

i think multistore is great,

and its fast way to great new shops - all features and setups is already set.

 

but how about performance?

 

when thinking about the performance,

whichever is the better way?

 

Multistore or a custom installation?

 

For example, if I have 10 e-commerce sites
and they share an 3,000 products

multistore will allow you one installation multiple shops.

 

so you can share many things between shops and when upgrade installation all shops participate (less maint).

 

re performance,  adding feature multishop will use more resources than single shop.
