internal linking problem, can anyone help

Hi

 

I have PS 1.6 and use a theme (warehouse) with mega menu

 

I need some help (also asked theme creator)

 

the problem i encounter is this:

 

 

in footer i have cms block...

 

when i click a link (example: Terms and Conditions which opens domain.com/nl/content/terms-conditions)

 

i also have a link block in footer in which i have some links (example : contact which i gave the url 'contact" and it opens domain.com/nl/contact)

 

what happens is that when i go from home page to the contact page it is all good, also from home page to terms and conditions page

 

BUT

 

when i go to terms & conditions page and than click contact page i get 404

 

what happens is that instead of going to domain.com/nl/contact it goes to domain.com/nl/content/contact so it keeps part of the link structure of previous link

 

this alos happens in menu when i go to product page and after that click a menu link it keeps the category of the visited product category in the link resulting in 404

 

 

What am i doing wrong? I also tried full urls but no result

Have you tried full url with http://www.yourdomain/yourlink

I believe dioniz is right, how are those links setup? If you use relative urls like /contact then it's normal you get errors, try with the full url with http, always

Yep guys, 

 

incl. http works great so that was it.

 

the store i work on is (partially) with ssl

 

is it better to use ssl for all store so i use instead of http the https?

Ssl is only used to secure sensible data, it's quite useless to have it across the whole site in my opinion
