KORG
Hello Please tell us as to whether the module "CMS" to create categories and sub categories? For example:category1 text1 text2 category2 text3category3
rocky
No, you can only add links to CMS pages to the information block, not links to categories. You would have to modify modules/blockinfos/blockinfos.tpl and manually add the category links before or after the foreach loop.
KORG
Thank you, rocky, but i mean not links - i mean self structure of categories and materials in CMS block. So - add categories - no any way from admin panel?
rocky
Sorry, I still don't understand what you mean. I'll try to help anyway. Categories can only be added through the Catalog, not the CMS. Do you mean that you want multi-level CMS pages, where one page has subpages, or are you talking about putting pages into categories? The CMS in Prestashop is not like Wordpress. You cannot put pages into categories.
achilehero
So ... after all... is there a way to add multi-level CMS pages to Prestashop or not? The latest version is 1.6 now.. Thanks!
stottycabanas
Yes. http://imgur.com/FAVWxEV The HOME entry far right is the CMS Home category. I added in Level 1, 2 & 3 CMS subcategories. Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Cool, Dave, thanks! Can you also tell me how you achieved it or is it a easy thing to do? I worked with Prestashop 1.4, and didn't test any of the latest versions since that. stottycabanas
achilehero, it's very easy to achieve. In 1.6 back office, go to Preferences->CMS, this will show you the Home CMS category. Just click the Add button in the categories section and you can set up a subcategory with parent = Home. Then go into the subcategory and set up a new subsubcategory with parent = subcategory. And so on. At any level, you can add one or more CMS pages to the CMS subcategory - and you can have more than one subcategory at any level. It's like a tree structure in Windows Explorer with folders and files, but with CMS categories and pages. Cheers, Dave
achilehero
Excellent, Dave, I'll try that. So this is new to 1.6 or was it available in previous versions too? Thanks, Cristian
