Adding a list of category links to 404 tpl

Hi all

 

I'm trying to amend the 404 page in Prestashop and one thing my client wants is a list of categories (with links) displaying, much like this site: http://www.theoutnet.com/sdkhfksdjfhdsfkdsjhf

 

Searched high and low and not found anything useful to assist. Has anyone any ideas how I might go about this?

you can create it easily but with minor modification.

you can do the same but for categories tree.

you can use scripts from blockcategories module

I'm still learning the prestashop world, i followed the steps in that post however i can't do it to display the menu.

 

Indeed works fine with best sellers and others like New Products, but i can't do it with the menu.

 

 Can you give me more tips.
