Thank you El Patron,

But products, orders, categories etc.. are still there.

There was a checkbox to enable/disable demo content installation during install process in previous versions, right ?

just tested what I suggested, now I know I didn't have a clue...jajajaja..that was for stat data..

try this

back office-->modules-->in search box type 'cleaner' (without the tick marks)

install and give it a whirl...let us know how it goes...

note: i hate cleaners...as I have seen so many issues  with 'ghost' products later getting added to carts...ave maria..but maybe this is a good solution and now at least supplied by ps and not 3rd party freebie.

Hahaha, thanks for your answer anyway.

I'm not a big fan of modules/plugins so i'll keep looking to see if there is a 'proper' way of doing this.

It seems crazy that they didn't envisage that people may not want demo content installed.

Especially when previous versions gave the choice of installing it or not.

Thanks a lot

I'll keep you posted if i find a way other that plugins :)

Hi,

All you have to do is activate "Dev mode" before installing Prestashop.

Go to your Prestashop root -> config -> defines.inc.php.

And set PS_MODE_DEV to true :

define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true);

You will then be able to not install demo items at stage 4 of install process.

Best regards,

Quentin
