Problems in new theme using Chrome

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have found some problems with ajax functions in the new theme using the latest version of Chrome.

The cart isn't opening, the quickview is not working, and the "add to cart" below the products either.

I have tested it on firefox and ie11 and works fine.

Someone could help with this problem?

Regards,

Jose V.

Same issue for me too. Chrome ajax dont work for cart block and if i click on it is not even open the order page and for quick view when mouse is over front page products. On Firefox only the cart ajax is not working and in IE works all.

And this is main theme and have no modification.

hello

it looks like individual problem, so can you please share url to your website?

it's necessary to inspect it.

Hello, Thanks for your answer Vekia.

Im looking the problem even in the prestashop official demo. http://demo-store.prestashop.com/en/

So I know for sure this is not a problem with my installation or my configuration.

I've checked in another PC with Chrome as well and the same happened.

Could you help me? I could upload some video or something to show you the problem.

Thanks,

Jose V.

Hi Jose my site is also on prestashop 1.6.0.5 and I do not have the issues you have when checking with Chrome all is fine so may be an individual problem for you.

Let's try something.

In Chrome type:

chrome(colon)(two slashes)flags

Then search for touch-events and turn it off

Restart browser and see if it works

In FF type:   about:config

Then filter dom.w3c_touch_events

Set to 0 and restart browser and see if it works

Update: Forum doesnt let me put link for chrome so i wrote it that way

Solved: this worked for me. I am using a Dell Optiplex all-in-one touch enabled PC running Windows 8.1 and IE11 (works fine) but Google Chrome did not (until I disabled the touch-events).

Thanks

In FF type:   about:config

Then filter dom.w3c_touch_events

Hello all,

I tested this on my iPad mini with a Chrome browser and all of the functions are working for me.  If I can find another touch platform to test it, I will.  Just wanted to add that I haven't been able to duplicate it on the iPad at this point.

Why the people dont try to fix the problem and help with this huuuge problem instead of asking questions that were already answered?

This is a real problem, this is not an easy issue that could solve whit "clear the cache , reinstalling, or turn some crazy option inside chrome or firefox", this is a real problem with the theme, could someone help? We need some expert here, I can upload some video to youtube to show the problem if you want.

This is happening even with the prestashop online Demo!!! and I've tried whit 3 different laptops!

I'm getting some of the same issues.  It works fine on my non-touch PC chrome or Ipad chrome.  On my touch laptop in chrome, I can't "click" on the cart, nothing happens. If I "touch" the cart, it drops down and works fine.

I'm also having problems in Firefox with products not adding to my cart, but that may be a separate issue.

They made some progress today and fixed the ajax function with the cart, but the problem still exists everywhere else there's ajax function.

here's the cart fix: https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/commit/f29395868025c2d5f20ab27f9521a1b480309f09
