I have a website on PrestaShop, and I am happy about it. Let us call it domain1.dk. Now, I want the same site shown in Sweden using the domain domain2.se. I bought the domain and set up the DNS settings.

When I now point my webbrowser to domain2.se I recieve an HTTP response with the 302 status code and am redirected to domain1.dk. That is not my intended behavoir.

I would like domain2.se to remain in the address line of the webbrowser thoughout my stay on the site. How do I set up PrestaShop to support this behavoir?

hello

i don't think so that it will be good for seo due to the duplicated content...

anyway, you can achieve it with multistore feature. there is no other way (because prestashop redirects to the proper domain defined in back office under preferences > seo & urls tab)

Is it not possibly to (easily) mod the code, so the redirection is not done?

what version of PrestaShop?

one is not 'always' penalized for duplicate content specifically when you use ccTLD (.es/.uk/.se/.etc)...if you use multiple gTLD (.com/.net/.co/.etc). you will certainly be.

if you are on 1.4, I have module supports multiple domains single shop insallation

http://www.etiendas.co/en/27-multishop-multidomain-pro-14.html

for 1.5 multistore, you would add the 2nd shop with product sharing and other optional shares, read more here: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Managing+Multiple+Shops

I am using .dk (Denmark) and .se (Sweden) so I might be in the clear.

I am using PrestaShop version 1.5.3.1.

I just tried to use multistore, and it works to some degree. Not much though.

The site is technically working on domain2.se, but the presentation of the object on the site is quite wrong as if the CSS was way off. Furthermore, some (a few, not all) of the pictures are wrong.

I do much appreciate the help from you two guys. PrestaShop is completely new to my.

I can set up 'another' domain without issue.

You may want to delete the 2nd domain and start over...make note of how you configure (screen shot of settings) so we can help.

you have choices to share theme and more..but unless we have detail, then it's difficult to know what is wrong.

I hear many people claim that PS 1.5.6.1 Multi Store will share also the products, but unfortunately it doesn't in our stores. In the main store 'ledaanbieder.nl' we've got 2300 products, but if we go to another store there are none. While adding a new store you can share all other things like orders, but with products it seems that 'sharing' is just making a copy of the catalog.

So, if we go to the main shop that has 'shared' the catalog with the secondary shop (in the same group) and add a new product... It won't appear in the secondary. What is going wrong here? How can I really share the main catalog with ALL multistores inclusive all changes I make afterwards?
