Invalid Email Address

Hi,

 

This has probably been discussed already but on installation of PrestaShop in my CP panel i try to log in but it keeps coming up as invalid email address!

 

I am only a novice and my Host provided a one click installation for this which i did, but just wont accept my email address as login.

 

 

Help!

Have you considered installing the 1.5.6.1 (download from PrestaShop) and installing yourself?

 

It is really difficult for the community to help when the installation may not be good.

if you have access to phpmyadmin, (mysql db)

 

look in table employees

 

and see what email address they used to generate your logon email address

i created directory in root and uploaded via ftp but no joy.

 

I have 1 click install for opencart but to be honest it is too time consuming to set up for my needs as i just need a basic shop front but dont want the monthly fees associated with the paid ones when open source is much better and free!

I want a store front to be my actual website so is there a way instead of just directing my website address to a storefront instead of uploading anything?

It asks for cp panel username but says it is incorrect.

 

Do i need the link for my webhost as well? (cp.webhosting.ie)

You need to give it what ever information you use to log into your cpanel. It is usually found at domain.com/cpanel

you may want to just use ebay

 

just do it the old fashioned way...

 

the thing is, you will need to learn some 'new' stuff to run a website...does not matter if ps, wp, joomla...openfart...

 

you will need to know basics of hosting, ftp and a little dns (point a url)...

 

so don't get discouraged if you are hitting bumps...

 

you might even like prestabox....it's all done for you...

PrestaShop has an eBay interface that allows you to cross sell.  Also there is google linkage as well.  So having a shop that you can cross sell on has it's advantages.

Thats a bonus then and can you set up your ebay details within PresaShop so it auto inserts at touch of a button so to speak ?

I have managed to upload via ftp and i am now on the installation via my website URL,

 

On putting in my details it is still coming up with invalid email address, i have checked the php (password) file and this is the string: header('Location: index.php?controller=AdminLogin');

 

It referring to index file so here is the string for that:

Hmm, try using something like [email protected] it could be a bug detecting the .ie extension.

I pmed you to obtain hosting/ftp/back office information...I will invite dh42 to the conversation as he may be able to look this before me...best to have two sets of eyes looking at it...and dh42 is younger than me
