Fees by carrier problem

Hello Everyone

 

I'm using version 1.5.5

Multistore enabled

Custom theme "autumn theme"

 

I've been trying to set-up the fees by carrier but it's always showing

"You only have free carriers, there is no need to configure your delivery prices."

 

Everything I've looked up so far shows the fees need to be set-up under shipping, but there is a tab under the carrier set-up where it asks for zone and price.(see attached image)

 

However regardless of what number I put in, it always shows zero in the cart. When I go back to edit, the number shows as zero in the set-up (changes by itself.)

 

I've attached 4 images

One show the carrier set-up

2 show that price and weight ranges have been set

3rd shows how the number defaults back to zero.

 

Am I missing a global free shipping set-up that is overriding my carriers?

The weight ranges tab doesn't exist in 1.5.5, so I assume you are using an upgraded version? Can you try replacing the adminCarriersController.php file, found in controllers/admin, with a fresh one from a downloaded 1.5.5?

Thanks for the response.

I noticed that I was having other issues as well like assigning payment methods to stores. something got screwy.

I just did a fresh install, and everything is good.
