Overriding a module's CSS

I'm facing a problem overriding the styles for the Quick Search Box module, I've created my custom css file inside `/themes/my_theme/modules/blocksearch/blocksearch.css` but it's not being loaded, the default CSS file for the module is loaded instead. What could be the problem? I've already disabled the cache.

You are doing it in the wrong path.

 

When you override modules, for TPL files, the path is youtheme/modules/modulefolder/modulname.tpl

 

But when you override CSS, the path is yourtheme/css/modules/modulefolder/modulname.css

if you move css file to path mentioned by @Dreamtheme ( yourtheme/css/modules/modulefolder/modulname.css )

don't forget to move also /img/ directory. as far as i remember, blocksearch module has got own /img/ directory with images

 

im not sure at all because i havent got access to theme files, if i were wrong - let me know

Yes Vekia is correct, you need img folder too.

Thank you guys, it's working now. After initially reading the docs I was left with the impression that all module files should go inside the modules directory, now I see that's not the case.
