Image slider for your homepage problem

Image slider for your homepage module  1.2.1 that is included with PS will not save new arrangemen'ts  of images after i rearrange them.

 

I have PS 1.5.5

Jeff, please explain a little more. I don't see the point what an image slider on the homepage has to do with stock and orders...

Can you tell in more detail what you try to do (Front office/Back office), and what and when exactly things go wrong?

if you have some issues with rearrange slides - you should turn on browser console (ctrl shift J in chrome)

after drag'n'drop slide to the new position - you will see probably error code.

i did a edit of first post sorry made it fast and was very tired. I hope that clears it up a bit.

the problem is with domain. You use in your store SSL certificate. And you were connected to admin with simple not secured protocol (http instead of https)

 

feature for changin position is based on AJAX, if you use in your store SSL certificate, all AJAX queries are based on https protocol.

 

 

what to do, how to fix?

just log in to your admin via url with https

I am logged into the back office with  HTTPS.  Firefox 23.0.1 for mac up to date version.  When I drag image rearrange it will move but the yellow loading box dose not come show up like it will in Google Chrome 29.0.1547.65 up to date version.  In Google Chrome it will save the now order of images it most me a Firefox thing.  In Firefox and Chrome i can rearrange any other drag-able items so in Firefox this is the only module I can not rearrange.

I am sorry for bad english from previous post, I didnt make any changes, I have instaled module posted from this post http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/256941-module-prestashop-homeslider-on-top-free-modification/ few days ago on 2 domains and when I want to change order that happens, I have re-instaled the module but same thing happens (

I have uploaded this files from older versions of Presta but stil the problem is with drag&drop slider images order...

open homeslider.php file

 

there is a code:

just remove it temporarily and check what's going on then

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm having the exact problems as the original poster and the solution that vekia provided did not help. See the below screenshot. I am logged into my admin with https. I drag and drop the slide to another position and the yellow loading bar just keeps loading, nothing ever saves. See the error that appeared after I drag and drop.

this is the same problem, but in this case website trying to load results of non-secured AJAX connection from secured website.

in your case - you will have to log in without SSL.

 

prestashop in version 1.5.2 hasn't got fix for this problem,

as far as i remember prestashop 1.5.4+ has got fixes

I think there is problem with new version slider. I have same problem with 1.6.0.9. But I can not save any options.  Maximum image width, auto play function and so on. When I use button save, nothing happens and old options is actual.

I`m almost there. 

 

Indeed, there was duplicate content and now Auto play is working, thank you:) But I have still problem with slide list, because I can not rearange position of slides. When I save posistion, system resets position to previos.

 

What could be a solution?
