1-Click Upgrade - WONT UPGRADE :(

When trying to upgrade I get the following error.

i forgot to copy the error msg, but i was thinking that i did not have enough disk space. I was left with 2.5gb space and I had just asked my hosting company to increase for me for 2 hrs. hope it will work. if this does not work, I will need to roll back to the old version and try again next time

I know mine isn't a disk space issue. I have a hosting account and have unlimited storage.

The file is downloading at 17.82Mb in size, its in the download folder.

but when it is doing the back up? how much space is it consuming?

 

i have like 60 000 files to back up... it's like taking forever!!!

 

lucky now is the wee time for my country, which i had chosen to do an upgrade.

not too sure on that one.. .mine was freezing during backup, so I decided to upgrade without doing the backup.

That's when this error decided to show up.

 

This is just a test shop for when im creating themes, so I don't need to back it up.

i got it to upgrade

but i think due to the 1st time of the backup

my whole shop cock up!!!

 

now requesting for a full rollback

I gave up and have done a fresh install.

 

Now the 1-click upgrade tells me these files have changed ....

It seems files have been updated since they released it, maybe that's why the MD5 hash doesn't match up ?

Can you check you Home Text Editor and tell me if the logo Image appears in the configuration area.

The logo is not showing in my back office.

 

I tried changing the default one, the change happened on the store but still doesn't show in the back.

 

Im assuming, its not supposed to show in the back ?

 

edit: Just seen your post. yes there is an error on yours somewhere, you don't have the "Browse" button to select an image :/

Yes the browse (choose file) button is there I can change the image, However the image is supposed to show as you can also delete the image and just use that text portion, Without the image showing you can not hit the delete button.

The difference you see between Browse and Choose file is browser associated with Chrome you get Choose File with IE you get Browse.

I strongly recommend not to upgrade to a new version but always install a clean version of PrestaShop. Upgrades are not 100% secure and hassle free. What is worse, sometimes is upgrade intentionally incomplete and lacking some data. It is only my experience.

^ True... but a fresh install is not so easy..

 

I was to do a fresh install as I think there are problems on our site.

Some of the Warehouse features don't seem to work.
ie,

The "Stock instant state" page figures don't add up correctly ( 100 usable, 100 real, 230 actual. etc)

The "Stock Cover" page shows - and - as figures on everything ?

The "Supply orders" page, if I create a supply order, the status is --- and I cannot change it (PS says its invalid)

 

If these are bugs from upgrading, then I think other bugs may have an impact on sales on our site :/

 

What I would like is easy instructions on how to:

Export all needed data (Customers, orders, products, categories.. everything)

then import everthing to the new site.
