DrewCrew
I have another issue with regards to translations. I can't seem to find how to translate "HOME" in the main menu and the titles of some footer blocks, as well as the search box and shopping cart. When I click translations it shows that all of the translations are filled in but there are no sections to add the translations for HOME in the main menu or the footer block titles or the search box, shopping cart drop down. Thanks again for any help to this issue! Edited August 9, 2013 by DrewCrew (see edit history)
vekia
HOME is a main category defined under the catalog>categories tab in your back office clcik on "EDIT" located in top bar - then you will have ability to change the "HOME" name
DrewCrew
Thank you...it was simple...just a bit hard to find when you don't know where to look ;-) What about the titles of the footer blocks? Where would I find how to edit the translations of those? Thanks again!
vekia
can you please clarify what part of the footer you want to change? im asking because i know at least 6 modules there (in default installation and template)
DrewCrew
Thanks for your help vekia...I found them after going through every single section. They were hidden because it was showing as completed. ...but now I have a bigger problem the same as posted ---> here All my back end translations that I spent weeks filling in suddenly disappeared. They were all there previously and now all gone but it appears they are ok on the front end still. So I can't finish translating unless I find a way to get everything back in the back end...thousands and thousands of translations ALL GONE I'm using Prestashop version 1.5.4.1 If that helps any. DrewCrew
If I use yesterday's DB backup it should fix the issue of the missing back end translations right? I'll just have to redo anything I did today and hope the same problem doesn't happen.
vekia
that's correct, you can use backups and it should help. can i mark this topic as [solved] ?
