[solved] Working and seeing the shop while it's closed

Hello to everybody.

 

I need your help guys, since I'm very new to PrestaShhop and just trying to work my way through it...

 

I'm working on the shop right now, changing things. The website/shop is closed for maintenance. How can I see the shop as it should be with the changes I make without opening it?

 

I tried the "View my shop" button near the Username in the left upper corner, but this brings me to a "Closed for maintenance" page, without the ability to see the shop itself.

 

Can it be done somehow? I know this option is available in other stores that I've worked with...

you can insert own ip address to the field in the maintenance mode settings page.

it's pretty simple..

 

back office-->preferences-->maintenance

 

enable shop 'no' and click 'add my ip'. you can add multiple ip's

 

then click save.

 

now only you can see your shop, others will see the maint. page.

 

note: make a big sticky where you work to enable your shop, many have forgotten and as they see their shop, they don't realize no one else can
