bruce-rez
Hi, After installing the SSL certificate in our website some images do not display and some links are broken. How we can find these links with http and change them to https. Thanks. Edited June 19, 2013 by bruce-rez (see edit history)
vekia
there is no way to get the "list" of the non-https link unfortunately, you have to check it one by one, i mean, when you're browsing your store. where you've got links without http? sometimes urls are hardcoded in the theme, so you have to change it manually
bruce-rez
vekia, After installing the SSL certificate I get some broken link that redirects to Prestashop 404 message. I've contacted my hosting before and they said I have to change all http to https which I think it's not the logic and practical solution. I've already built a Prestashop website and installed the SSL later and I didn't have this problem, everything was working correctly and I didn't go through the process of changing all http manually, weird! Thank you Edited June 19, 2013 by bruce-rez (see edit history)
PascalVG
Did you re-create your htaccess file after turning on SSL?? (turn off friendly URL's, save and turn it back on (if you had it on, otherwise other way around...) My 2 cents, pascal
vekia
you can also remove the .htaccess file from root dir of your store (don't forget about backup!)

orangewebdesign
Thank you Vekia. I'm on ps 1.5.4.1 with a new ssl certificate that was install by my hosting service. I use a monster template called Watches, (theme 586) After actived the SSL in Preferences-General and turned off the redirection to canonical url in the seo & urls tab, the shop seems to work now. It still call some http urls like home page, category pages and product pages. But my account page and authentification page load as https. I don't know if this resolved all the problems and it is really legit, can you confirm? Thank you
thechiv
Jumping in here because for some reason I'm not able to create a new thread (been trying for 30 minutes) and really NEED help: I noticed an issue where not every link on my site converts to https. If you look here - https://toolbeast.com/welding-tools/ - the links under 'Welding Tools' in the left nav are not https. Also the links under the h1 'Welding Tools' are not https either. Additionally, links in the breadcrumb (other than the homepage) are linking to non https as well. How can I modify this so these links so that they point directly to https?I'm not a developer and my php skills are extremely limited so please dumb your suggestions down as much as possible
