Configure delivery for specific counties/regions

Hi,

 

i'm setting up a new PrestaShop store.

 

The store only sells to the UK but I need to define different shipping rates for the following:

• Mainland UK
  
• Highlands
  
• ROI & Channel Islands
  

It looks to me that PrestaShop bases the shipping on only the country. Is it possible to set different rates for the regions listed above?

 

How can I set this up?

Hi

Prestashop bases the shipping by zones, not by country.

 

The simplest way is for you to create 3 new zones named per the list in your post. Then create carriers and assign each to one of the 3 zones. You can then set up your wight/price ranges for each carrier.

 

A better solution is to set up your counties. This can be a big job but one of the members here has created a script/module to make this easier. Do a search for UK post zones (I forget the exact title). This creates zones such as uk mainland, scotish highlands, etc. and sets all the counties to the correct zone. Big job made easy.
