k440092
Hi, Does anyone know how can I get customer phone number to appear on a order confirmation e-mail? Now order confirmation shows customers name and adress but no phone number. Im using Prestashop 1.5.3.1.
jdietrich
I am having a similar issue on 1.5.4, except that the customer's phone number does show up occasionally. We just started taking orders on our shop, and we've noticed about half the orders so far do not have a phone number in the confirmation email, although they are clearly available if we go into the back office and look at the Customers' information. Very strange.
bellini13
There are 2 things you need to understand 1) There are 2 phone numbers in Prestashop (home and mobile), and a customer can provide one or both 2) The display of phone number is based on the Address format defined in the Country settings. So this means that for each country you allow a customer to use, you need to review the Address format (Localization | Country) and confirm that BOTH phone and phone_mobile are included. By default only phone (home) is included, and so if the customer did not provide a phone, but only mobile, then it will not show up on invoices or emails.

After I posted this, we had determined that it was an issue with the mobile_phone field, but we had assumed that we might have to do some overrides to get the desired behavior. This is much, much simpler! To be clear for those who have the problem and find this thread in the future: for Prestashop 1.5.4, go into the Back Office and Localization > Countries. Click on your country in the list (the US in my case). On a new line in the text box next to Address Format, type the entry "phone_mobile" (without the quotes). Then save the page with the save button in the upper right hand side, and you should be good to go.
