Maury Markowitz
Does anyone have any advice on how to list a multi-store on the web? Do you prefer... usa.mystore.com mexico.mystore.com or do you like... mystore.com/usa mystore.com/mexico Is there any difference in terms of SEO? Many of the same products will be listed under each branch, does that make a difference?
PrestaHeroes USA
be careful when using multiple gTLD's (.com/.co/.org) etc as you will be penalized for duplicate content. You should search using google on gTLD or ccTLD's and duplicate content before launching multiple url's.
Maury Markowitz
Ok so gTLDs are out. But neither of my examples change the (g|cc)TDL. They only change the subdomain or the path. Does this have any effect? ... GeoIP Targeting Pro - I'll definitely be getting this!
PrestaHeroes USA
Hi, if it's a .com then it's a gTLD... however if you use a sub-domain name using the country code first...then you are supposed to be ok. i.e. mexico.mystore.com would become mx.mystore.com
