Front office http 500 error

Hi all,

 

I'm having some problems with my shop since yesterday. Sometimes the front office goes down and shows a http 500 error. Yesterday I thought the cloudcache module was causing the problem but today I ruled that out.

 

The front office works fine for several hours but then shows a http 500 error. When the front office has a http 500 error the backoffice is still working fine. I have found a solution to get it work again. I change the Cache settings to off, reload the shop and it works again. Then of course I turn on the cache settings again. The site then works for several hours and then the same thing will happen again.

 

I really can't figure out what causes the problem. On 18 december I updated my prestashop 1.4.9 shop to the latest 1.5 version. I made a completely new theme based on the default theme that I'm using at the moment. It did function well until yesterday.

 

Does somebody have some tips on how to locate the problems or even knows how to fix it? I would appreciate it!

so it's .htaccess file issue probably.

Back up this file (you can find it in root directory) and delete it. After that try to refresh your shop site

I already did that earlier today but that didn't help. I did it again 30 minutes ago and now i'm waiting if it will happen again.

 

Something else is strange when using google chrome webmaster tools it is showing the following error:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://www.ciclishop.nl/index.html

 

 

Isn't that strange?

Looks like the HTTP 500 errors are gone. I actually didn't do anything but i'm not receiving the errors anymore. But i'm having new different errors now. I'm now receiving a fatal error after a while:

 

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/ciclishop.nl/public_html/override/classes/../../../modules/cloudcache/cloudcache.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /home/ciclishop.nl/public_html/override/classes/FrontController.php on line 96

 

It also gives the same error with the cloudcache module disabled. Turning of cache and reloading is enough to get the site back online.

I noticed something in the apache error log. Around the time when there is a file does not exist error the site goes down with a fatal error. Yesterday when I got a HTTP 500 error, there are also file does not exist errors at the same time to site went down into a HTTP 500 error.
