[SOLVED] Please Help, extremely slow load while category navigation

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

Somedays ago I've detected an unusual slow load time at our website. It seems to happen only when loading category pages with products, it doesn't happen when loading a product page or even homepage.

http://nutri-cosmetica.com

We haven't touched the webiste-code or performance configuration, we just had been working at backoffice by uploading products and caregories text & pictures....

I've test several urls from the site at this website speed analyser:

http://tools.pingdom...smetica.com/es/

http://tools.pingdom...-nutricosmetica

And there's an excesive "wait time" when loading the web site as you can see at the attached file....

wait_time.jpg

I have contact the hosting and they say server it's running ok, that's posibly true cause it only happens when entering at category pages.

What's wrong them??

Please help!!!

you've got access to error logs in your server?

you've got access to ssh (for debug apache / mysql ) ?

maybe you webhosting managment panel has got section, where you can find out something about load time in php scripts?

thanks for your quick answer...

I have acces to logs at my controlpanel but I'm a bit noob so even with logs I don't know what to do...

At my hosting they have told me that server had been checked and it's giving correct load times, they suggest it could be related with a corrupted module. It could be... but if we haven't updated modules, then why it goes wrong?

I've activated at defines.inc file the line:

define('_PS_DEBUG_PROFILING_', true);

But I haven't seen anything wich could help me... If you want I can reactivate it again to check results when loading pages.

Sure, server works ok, but some scripts probably have got some break points. To be sure, we have to check error logs file on your server (just paste logs from moment when you refreshing page, where the bug occur). If there everything works fine - the best thing is doing some works via ssh, like debug apache / mysql scripts. When you haven't got an access to ssh - you can disable each module one by one and check load time

Sorry, I don't know the difference between Cpanel or direct Admin.... But I think in my case it's Cpanel.

I have access to phpmyadmin and also a log section, full FTP acces, but I can't access server with SSH.

I'm trying to look for logs to post them...

EDIT: I've found the log section list.... wich ones should I post?

sure, can you paste here lines from error_log and from php_error_log ?

just lines that correspond to moment you open own shop page where the issue occur

The problem still persist, but it seems that they have no reflect on error logs, cause even now at 3:30 PM, both error logs don't show any report at this time.

Anyway, here you are the last error_log lines if they help:

Could external RSS service been slowing the shop?

Last week I created an account at feedbuster to add RSS update status to our website, I have read some post where people talk about RSS external service slowing down the website as the shop server waits a feedback answer from the RSS server service....

I've just delete the RSS feed buster account to see if it improves the performance... but it seems that nothing has changed. However I have also read that RSS still works some days after deleting the account.

Could it be that the problem??

At the previous speed test site... I've tested this URL: http://tools.pingdom.../9-parafarmacia

When looking at the analyse results recomendations section I've found that there's only one test part which has very bad score:

score.jpg

When deploying I see that list of URL pictures:

recomendations.jpg

I'm not sure if "Serve static content from a cookieless domain" is the real problem cause last week everything was fine without having that static content server... But could it be the problem of my slow loading times...???

Thanks!

bucle problem?

Yes... it seems that my prestashop template (warehouse) has a problem while showing products if they were showing more than 9 products per page (in our case the default was 15 items per page) so another forum-user give me a hand be detecting and fixing the code. Now it loads very fast :D
