my first template installation

Hi everyone.

 

I'm new here and glad to see a big PrestaShop community.

 

about the first template installation, can I make it on the server or should i do it on the Xammp local host ?

 

any problems with working immediately on the far server ?.

 

I'm not worried for now from bad indexing of the search engines such as Google Yahoo, Bing,

if they see a not professional website on the web.

While you are working with a live store you can put it into maintenance mode (Preferences > Maintenance) and add your own IP to allowed IPs so every visitor (including bots) except you will see a maintenance page. It is still a good idea to test on a local test server in any case.
