barto89
Dear sirs, Today I experienced a huge bug in prestashop 1.4.7.0. I gave a single customer a 50% discount, and free shipping. Both vouchers were to be used once.. Now somehow this customer received the discount of the products, and then that amount was deducted twice.. See attached file.. I tried to reproduce this bug with my test account, but i was not able to do so.. Please help. Anybody experienced this issue as well? This is a major bug, since I cannot safely give out vouchers if i dont know if it will happen again and this costs lots of money.. To be clear, the amount of the products was 15 euros, 50% of should be 7,50 and somehow the system reduced this to 3,50 to be payed.. (the customer payed with paypal, but i tried this out as well and it showed the correct amount) Please help! Help is greatly appreciated!! Kind regards, Bart van Kessel
olea
If I remember, this is a bug in the /classes/PDF.php file of the 1.4.7.0 (you can check in the forge) You can try taking this file from the last 1.4.8 version
barto89
If I remember, this is a bug in the /classes/PDF.php file of the 1.4.7.0 (you can check in the forge) You can try taking this file from the last 1.4.8 version But does that only fix the pfd? I dont mind the pdf not showing the correct data, I do however find it a problem if customers pay less than they should.. I'm sorry I'm no prestashop pro, but I do not see how the pdf file can help? And is it compatible to replace only a part of your shop with files from 1.4.8? I do not want to fully update to 1.4.8 yet, since my shop is 3 weeks old and I want to wait a while and read reviews on experiences with updates.. barto89
Dear Olea, I found out aditional info via the forge.. I checked my outbox of the email to see which message was send to the customer, and now it seems that one product that was shown in my bo was not ordered by the client.. today i had the same problem, its the same product that keeps showing up in my backoffice.. and therefore the calculations are incorrect.. something is really messed up.. please help
Mike Kranzler
Hi Bart, My Dutch may not be very strong, but at first glance, it looks to me like you have two separate discounts configured through the Back Office; the voucher AND some secondary discount (potentially through your customer groups or somewhere else in your Back Office). What I would suggest is that you search the Back Office, starting with the Customer Groups, and try to determine where else you may have a discount configured, because it certainly appears that PrestaShop is implementing the entered information correctly, but that doesn't mean that it is correct for your specific needs or intended result. I hope this helps. -Mike

I found out additionally that it might not be the voucher system that causes this problem.. A couple of weeks ago I tested ordering with my own account and i cancelled that order to see if that worked as well.. Now when I receive an order, in the order screen it states payment accepted with underneath that: cancelled by bart van kessel.. So it seems like someting of my test order stays in the order for new customers.. Also the product that i test ordered, stays in the new orders.. So we assumed that something was wrong in the voucher system, but it is actually something else.. I checked my outbox and saw that the customer ordered 1 item and paid the right amount including discount.. But in the Bo it stated the customer ordered 2 items and then the amount does not fit (so that product i ordered in my test account shows up there..) it is the same product that keeps showing up in the orders.. I dont know what to do.. I might try to delete that product from my catalogue and see if that helps, but then there is still the issue of orders showing a cancell action.. ( to be clear, there is no cancel notifaction send to the customer, just the bo showing messed up things)
Mike Kranzler
Hi Bart, Is it always the product from that test order that is displayed in the cart alongside the actual order? -Mike
barto89
Hi Bart, Is it always the product from that test order that is displayed in the cart alongside the actual order? -Mike Yes it is always the same product in the bo.. But the customer does not see this.. So no problems for the customer, but for me as owner it is because now i cannot keep a normal administration since it shows that product on every order.. Is this a product that is otherwise for sale on your site? If it isn't, I would definitely recommend deleting it, and if it is, I would still recommend deleting it just so you can add it again from scratch to hopefully get around this error. -Mike

I will try deleting it, but I'm afraid that the problem runs deeper since my order statuses are also not correct..

The cancelled status is also still displayed.. Its as if that test order is somehow stuck..
