Pamphile Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Hi, I'm working on a new text search tool (based on Apache Solr) in order to improve performance and relevance of the native Prestashop search tool. I've just done basic tests with my own online shop (about 400 products) and results are promising (indexing is much faster, searching is faster and more relevant). What I'd like to do now is to test my tool on a much larger database (at least a few thousands of products) to make sure it's scalable. Where could I find such a large product database? I guess the Prestashop development team have their own test databases. Thanks for your help, Pamphile P.S. For your information, this new tool includes functionalities such as stemming and spelling suggestions. I'm also planning to develop a new faceted search tool based on Solr. P.P.S.
