Neapix Posted January 10, 2012 Share Posted January 10, 2012 Hi I tried to install prestashop on godaddy hosting company. I created database and made everything by the protocol. After completing step 4 - "shop configuration" the gray window appears and than nothing. it get stucks. I too am using Godaddy hosting and installation gets stuck after completing Step 4 (same as above descriptions). The result of this is that it seems my site is up and running, except there is no way for me to access the back office as there is no admin account created. I have done everything right in terms of creating a database in Godaddy and put in all the correct details. I have basic understanding of how this works, however now I am stuck with this dillemma. crazydelta Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Hi All, I may have found a solution and a possible bug in prestashop. As I am located in Hong Kong, I kept choosing Hong Kong as the location as well as the timezone. And it seems that was what was causing step 4 to get stuck from moving forward. I chose France, and it worked fine. I then re-did everything and tried Hong Kong again, and same problem. Now I chose USA and it works fine again. If you DON'T mark the box - "send information to your email" it will make everything go smoothly.. Hope this will help... keweli Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 I just tried installing a new copy of 1.4.6.2 on a GoDaddy test server and was able to reproduce the problem when choosing Hong Kong.
