911tictac
v1.4.5.1 Shop not loading Hi, can anyone help, I have loaded the presta shop v1.4.5.1 onto the virtual server, at first I could not see the shop at all, but following a similar thread on this forum I turned the "Automatically redirect to Canonical url" to NO and the shop has come to life. HOwever, now when you click on the products that are on the shop it then hangs and goes nowhere. I want to feel confident to put a lot of information into the shop but at the moment I am unsure, it all looks really good, but just confidence with the stability is lacking now.... please help the web address is www.outlet-direct.co.uk Thanks in advance
Mike Kranzler
Hi 911tictac, In your Back Office, could you please try enabling Friendly URL under Preferences > SEO & URLs and let me know if this resolves your issue? -Mike
911tictac
Hi Mike Thank you so much for your prompt reply, it is great to know that people are listening. Right I have tried enabling Friendly URL under Preferences > SEO & URLs and I receive a 404 error message, now I noted that there was information about the fact that I would need to create a ".htaccess" file but this tool can ONLY be used if you are hosted by an Apache web server. So I checked it out and NO the server is not Apache it is Windows based rather than Linux, so I am going to get it switched over to see if that removes the problem. and at least I will be able to create this .htaccess file. Does Prerstashop only work on Linux based servers then? Regards

911tictac
Mike That is the thing I according to the load screen it did, but I am just having problems from the outset. I have requested the server be changed, but can take upto 3 hours so we shall see from there. But as soon as it has been changed over and I have created the .htaccess file I will get back to you. Best regards Allan
