Snade
Hello everyone, I'm using prestashop for quite some time, but never had to put gallery inside the presta. Now when I have to do that and start searching for information, and I've found only 2 solution. 1. Rocky's paid gallery module (only his paid module actually do the job) 2. Transplanting jQuery homepage gallery to a cms page(which is quite time consuming and confusing procces at least for me) I really hope that you will suggest a third solution. But that's not the true reason I'm writing this post. I just cant figure it out, how could one of the most advanced and modern e-commerce platform, lack a solutions for one of the BASIC things on the internet as whole, an image gallery ?!? Where is the build in gallery ? where are the community free galleries? I really hope that I'm somehow wrong and there are some solutions for having a simple image gallery with thickbox. Mike Kranzler
Hi Snade, Are you using the default theme or another one? A lot of custom themes come with built-in galleries that look great. -Mike
Snade
Mike, thanks for your reply. I'm generally a designer, and I design my own themes by modifying the default theme to fit my design. I've used some free themes for their structure, but never saw a gallery into a theme. I guess that functionality is in the paid themes. I've already made the design for my client, so buying premium template is not an option. What else can I do, beside buying Rocky's module ? Write my own module ?! (too bad than, I'm a designer not a php programmer)
AKJV
You can check out this one: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/49128-module-jgalleryview-version-2/ In addition, Rocky's website still offers the old carousel version (1.2) for free, under the download tab of this module page. Some people have reported compatibility issues with PS 1.4 for the free version (check the corresponding topic), but I'm using it without problems in PS 1.4.4. It's just that I've heavily customized the design of the carousel, otherwise I would have bought the paid version for future support and its many config options. I still might do that though in the near future.

Cmon, prestashop must have some other way to do that. Is there free theme with gallery, maybe I can see how somebody else done it
