Alaskan
Hi, Really need some help here or will need to find a different solution other than PrestaShop. I have a PS install on a GoDaddy Linux host. I updated to 1.4 recently and all went well. I put the site offline so I could check on some PayPal payment transactions that didn't seem to go through with the older version of PS. Today I went to log on to the backend of the site, to set it to be online again. I logged on OK and then clicked one of the tabs and the next page was blank and eventually got an internal server error (500). Now I cannot get the front end (that should show the site is offline) or the backend to show up; all I get is a blank page in FireFox and a blank page with 500 error in MSIE. I tried removing the .htaccess file. If I do that I get the generic GoDaddy welcome to new site page. I do not know where to go from here and as it is, the site is unusable. I called the Support line in France, from USA, and it was all in French and then it hung up after giving a recording. If anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it. Oh, I did check out the forum and search for help and read the 500 error stuff but so far nothing I try helps and the permissions on the files seem OK to me, looking through GoDaddy's FTP manager. I can't see any error logs. I did enable logs in GoDaddy's CP but so far no logs show up. Thanks for any help!
Mike Kranzler
Hi John, In this situation, I would recommend that you try a clean install of 1.4 to see if that solves your issue. If that doesn't fix it for you, please let me know. -Mike
