Sarah87
So in my back office Catalog tab, I navigate to the subcategory where I want to add a product (in this case Home > Garden Supplies > Rakes). When I click "Add new product", on the product info screen, the only category box checked is "Home". I have to uncheck home and then remember what category I am in, and check that box. Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't the category that I am navigating from be checked automatically?

We hope you'll be able to find all of your answers here, and maybe help other people out with their questions as well! As for your question, you aren't doing anything wrong, that is just the way the back office is laid out. The 'Home' option is automatically checked on all products as the default, and then you get the option of changing that as you add each item. tomerg3
Mike: That's incorrect, if you navigate to a category and click on add a new product there, it should have that category automatically selected. See this video on PS 1.4.3 http://screencast.com/t/utVnbgFJtM Sarah: Which version of PS do you use?
Mike Kranzler
Hi Tomerg, Thanks for the screencast. Working off of our own test pages, we were able to replicate Sarah's issue, and we have confirmed it on our bug reports. I will follow up with our development team to find the latest updates on this fix. Thanks, Mike
