asecondwill
Search is giving some really wierd results for me. I have installed the quick search block on the left hand side.If i Search for "Low voltage Halogen AR-111 Lamps" which is the name of a product, I get a page Saying "8 search results have been found"beneath that, a missing image pic is shown, with a link around it with nothing in the href, below that is a product title, but not one containing the string i searched for. Can anyone throw any light into why the search dosn't work for me? Have i missed out a configuration step somewhere?I have checked the search preferences page, the index has been built. Im running 1.4Thanks very much for any help, will
asecondwill
further to that, here is a screen shot of the product page, showing there are images for this product. This isn't a one off, the search gives odd results for anything searched. willPrestaShop™ 1.4.0.
tomerg3
It may be a problem with your theme, what happens when you try it with the default PS theme? Also, why are you using a beta version?
asecondwill
It may be a problem with your theme, what happens when you try it with the default PS theme?<br/><br/>Also, why are you using a beta version? Hi just wanted to come back on and say thanks for helping me out there I had the beta version because that was the latest when i started building the site. Switching to the default theme didn't fix it. I upgraded (omg, thank you to the devs for doing the new upgrade system, because 1.4.0 -> 1.4.4 was a bit tricky!) and tested with default theme - it works. So looking at the difference, the old theme (and the one i based my theme on) had line 49: {include file="$tpl_dir./product-list.tpl" products=$products} but it should be: {include file="$tpl_dir./product-list.tpl" products=$search_products} And now im getting some results returned! yay. Thanks again will
Mike Kranzler
Hi Will, I'm glad you were able to get this working. We may put out a lot of updates, but as you can see, they are for a reason. I am going to mark this topic as solved, but let me know if you have any further questions stemming from this. -Mike
