jonny72
Hello, Got this message from our hosting company can anyone comment or suggest a solution please"We are noticing that your website is regularly using 90-100% of your server's CPU and is causing high I/O load. This excessive usage of server resources is resulting in a slowdown of webpage loading for other customer's websites on your shared server. We are contacting you to make you aware of the situation, as we can not allow one customer's busy website to take down the entire server and other customer's websites. If your website is experiencing higher then normal traffic, then let us know and we can work with you to discuss the situation and some possible solutions. (ie: Move this busy website to a VPS or dedicated server, etc.)Please also be sure to check your PHP scripts to make sure there are no problems with them, and that you have optimized any sql queries, etc."
shokinro
If it is really a high traffic caused the problem and then you need move to dedicated server.Otherwise, I think you need to find out what caused high CPU issue. In what page.Could bad data or bad scripts. You can also change some setting to tuning your PrestaShop performance. If you are using 1.4x, check this pageBack office - Preference - Performance Set Smarty force compile to No.set Smarty use cache to yesthere is another cache setting at bottom set to yes. shokinro
if you script is really really causing a problem that occupying more than 90% CPU of (Shared) server, I think you will be contacted by service provider, no matter which service provider you are using!By the way, I am using ixwebhosting.com, it is also not bad. Dreamtheme
How many products and how many unique visitors do you have. Note that some craw bots like Google bot or MSN or Yahoo bot can pretty much exhaust your host cpu just from crawling if u have allot of products.
