MrWade
Well, when I change the category name and links for an example: Old Category link which was /patio-lawn-garden/bench I change the link of that category to collections/patio-lawn-garden/benches What is doing is that the old link still up instead of 404 or category/page not found. How can I fix this problem? I using the classic them and PS v is 8.2.
Daresh
How exactly you change the link to "collections/patio-lawn-garden/benches"? As far as I remember, by default there is no such category hierarchy in the links.

Well, by default I started using the root directory and added the sub-categories that is how I got for an example /home-decor/drinkware then add a sub-category named "Catalog" and name the link "collections" and that is when I started added the sub-categories. Went from /home-decor/drinkware to /collections/home-decor/drinkware.

juanrojas
Are you using a module to remove the ID from the URL?

Yes, this the module that you recommend me https://www.sunnytoo.com/product/prestashop-removing-ids-urls-module-seo-friendly?wpam_id=
juanrojas
I think you might have duplicate URLs. Go into the module; it will tell you what's duplicated. If you don't find anything there, then post in their forum; they'll help you.
El Patron
While it's a bit late, and I know sunntoo's work, but there is no need to have friendly, friendly url's. The whole basis for friendly url's 1) customer could read the product name over the phone to support 2) google ad's only supported the url but for sometime allows one to input a friendly url that is displayed in search results. these friendly friendly urls create a lot more issues than they solve (they sove nothing) but you open yourself up to new issues but more importantly when you upgrade ps. these modules update 'core' so use at your own risk. My advice is remove friendly friendly modules, it's just a bunch of voodoo. of course ps will offer them or other platforms...because people actually think they help...but the developers know they just selling hype, rumor....
