[Solved] Google Shopping - rejected due to watermark!

I just got this:

We've recently reviewed the products, and we’ve found some problems with your items:

Watermarks/Promotional text on images

Some of your images contain watermarks/promotional text, which is against our Program Policies. Your images must display the products without any additional text.

After you've corrected the problems, please update your feed.


This is insane, removing my watermarks is not an option...anyone know how to get around this?

Hi Noesac,
We contacted Google about your problem and here is their answer :
"Our policies are clear about this: the usage of promotional text / logos and watermarks in the images is not allowed.
http://www.google.com/support/merchants/bin/answer.py?answer=188494
So in this case the client have to make sure that he may only upload images which are free of any further watermarks / logos".

Sorry about that, this is how their policies are.

it is really a pain.
but if you have to use google, you will have to follow their rules.
I am not sure if there is any walk around.
but if it is tricky one, then suggest forget about i, google is smart, they find out some time soon.

Why not use the original unwatermarked image?
