[Fixed] New version of Stripe force to install PrestaShopCorp module

yama

Recommended Posts

The new version of Stripe Official force us to install:

- PrestaShop Account
- PrestaShop EventBus
- PrestaShop Marketplace in your Back Office

I don't know what's happen and I don't know the fault of who but past hater of Prestashop seems close to the reality.

What's the meaning to use Open Source Project of PS if finally we can't use official modules from addon plateform without link PrestashopCorp to the project?

And of course, other modules of Stripe have been eradicated of addon.

That give only two options to use Stripe on PS.

- not update to stay in 3.4.4 and sitdown on future security update.

- update in 3.5.0 and install PrestashopCorp useless module in your project who want probably sucks your data.

I believe Prestashop itself isn’t directly involved in the Stripe plugin’s development. It’s likely that Stripe relies on these additional modules to handle management, updates, or other functionalities, which explains why their installation is being enforced.

Running and maintaining an open-source project requires continuous investment — without it, the project could eventually die out. Open-source doesn’t necessarily mean completely free of restrictions; it often involves a balance to ensure sustainability and continued development.

I am having error 500 issues after installing the latest official Stripe module v3.5. I think it's related to the marketplace module.

Has anyone got an official v3.4.4 version of this module?

I can't seem to download any older version of modules. So if anyone could help me out here, that would be great!

I don't recommend to install a payment method from a random source.

I agree, hence I finally got a link from Stripe support offering an older version and the latest.
They took ages to send this. However it doesn't change a thing in regards of forcing us to install PS marketplace (which slows down the entire site).

Can you give me this link to download this version ?

Updating to the latest Stripe completely broke my admin panel, unable to log in or do anything:

Oops... looks like an unexpected error occurred.

Unable to generate a URL for the named route "admin_mbo_catalog_module" as such route does not exist.

[Symfony\Component\Routing\Exception\RouteNotFoundException 0]

Could someone please upload the ZIP of the 3.4.4 Stripe Plugin?

Just request to Stripe as explained in the message before yours.

I have done however they have just asked me to upgrade to the latest version plugin, I think they've forwarded it to someone else now, so hopefully they will send it.

If they send it over, I will attach it here to save the hassle for anyone else.

Tried 3.6.2, although it works and installs correctly, no payments work. All payments fail and just say this:

An error occured during your payment.
Please try again or contact the website owner.

URL ending: /module/stripe_official/orderFailure?cartId=123259

Anyone else experiencing failures with the latest Stripe plugin? I've had to remove it, and downgrade back to 3.4.4.

I've never had a problem with the Stripe plugin other than the CloudSync integration and now their latest version failing every payment attempted.

This is just a warning to anyone updating, I assume I won't be the only one this happens to. Very odd 3.4.4 works perfectly fine and the latest version, after deleting, uninstalling, resetting, reconnecting, etc etc, all payments fail, 3 different cards tested.

it could well be the cloud failing you here.
The cloud is not that positive,
