PrestaShop Checkout not activating on front office after reset

Recommended Posts

Yesterday, I upgraded PrestaShop Checkout from v7.3.5.2 --> v7.3.6.1 and all of a sudden, customers were not able to make payments as they were seeing error messages and no one has been able to place any order. Today, when I found out about the issue and couldn't do anything to fix it, I reset the module to see if that would work. Once it was reset, the module stopped displaying any credit card or paypal payment options. I cleared the cache, upgraded Prestashop from v1.7.8.10 to v1.7.8.11 and checked all the Payment Preference settings but they are all fine. Once, I got this error after module reset: "The configuration is not set. You have an issue with your configuration, try onboarding again or contact our support."

Can someone please help me fix the issue? We urgently need it fixed to accept credit cards. In the mean time, I installed the regular PayPal module so that at least some customers can place orders.

Hi, I just wanted to update this post as I was in touch with Prestashop support and they fixed the issue of activation of module in front office but now the original problem is there as the credit card is being declined even if the info is correct. I emailed support about it but while they are working on it, I switched to Stripe so we don't miss sales.

Hello,

Do you happen to remember how thy fixed it? I have the same error message on this module configuration page.

Reseting and reinstalling the plugin did not help.

A good lesson to have a test site, locally, or on your server and test accordingly before before going live.

Which error message are you getting & referring to?

Credit card declines were fixed by disabling the 3D Secure option.

I was refering to this one: "The configuration is not set. You have an issue with your configuration, try onboarding again or contact our support."

I am able to link my shop and setup my PayPal account without issue. All the currencies I need are activated in PayPal and my business account is verified.
At the end of the configuration everything looks good in the back office, hooks are transplanted where they should be.
However, the payment options I selected from Prestashop Checkout do not appear on the checkout page. The other ones from other plug-ins (P24 with BLIK, Official PayPal) do and work.

But ~20 minutes later, the configuration page of PS Checkout module shows this on top:

This message does not appear immediately.

On a sidenote, I also cannot activate Apple Pay, not sure if it is related:

When I click configure, the registering bar is loading up and stays full, nothing else happens.

And yes, I have .well-known folder with the correct file inside.

It used to work until somehow my shop was dissociated from my Prestashop account a week ago. I struggled to reassociate it as the process was failing due to a timeout, and all of a sudden yesterday I could reassociate it, no change, following the same steps.

My setup:

- Prestashop v8.1.5 (cannot upgrade to 9, error 500)
- PS Account v7.2.0
- PS Checkout v8.4.4.0
- PS MBO v4.13.1
- PHP 8.4 (I tried all the version from 8.1)

PrestaShop site, avoid the newer PrestaShop Checkout module due to reported instability and use the default checkout instead. Consider using Stripe if it's still an option, as it's generally considered more reliable than the newer PrestaShop Checkout. Avoid using outdated addons and focus on payment modules that are still actively supported and compatible with your chosen checkout method.

Hi El Patron,

Thank you for your suggestions but none suit my needs. All my addons are up to date.

PS Checkout is still supported, since there was an update last month.

It worked perfectly fine for over a year, handling multiple payment methods from customers all over the world. I am determined to get it working again and I won't stop digging until it does.
