COD not showing in the frontend

Hello,

I updated Prestashop from 1.6 to the latest version 1.7.8.7 and i noticed that Cash on delivery payment method isn't available in the checkout.

I started to search for possible fixes but without luck. But i noticed something in the „hooks” section, under „design” tab.

If i search for the COD module its appearing to be highlighted with orange. What may be the problem?

Have you checked payment, delivery setting is set correctly? Also, countries and groups.

yes, everything seems to be configured correctly

maybe restrictions not set up correctly (see img below)

does the cod module support this level of php?  

if nothing else do a reset of the module

sorry for the late replay. Checked the Payment/Preferences it seems to be fine

i noticed that it has something to do with the options in Performance: Deactivate non-native Prestashop modules and Deactivate override extensions. The modules shows if i check both options but only sometimes.

I've activated debugging and now i get 

Compile Error: require(): Failed opening required '/home/c0945442/public_html/var/cache/dev/ContainerGanvl4t/removed-ids.php' (include_path='/home/c0945442/public_html/vendor/pear/pear_exception:/home/c0945442/public_html/vendor/pear/console_getopt:/home/c0945442/public_html/vendor/pear/pear-core-minimal/src:/home/c0945442/public_html/vendor/pear/archive_tar:.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr/share/pear')

this was a cache problem, cleared it and now it appears to be showing again. This is getting weird.
