there must be some error is occurring
please try to set 'display_errors' to 'on' in file /config/config.inc.php
then run those pages again see if there is any error displayed.
(usually on the top of page, some time, different location, it depends)

If there is an error, the error should give you some clue on what is happening.

ok, enabled error reporting
but i receive no errors..

the homepage displayed "tab not found" untill i found a thread that provided a fixed "index.php"(i atached the file)
i guess it was not that fixed after alll..

now ,with the error reporting active the only error i receive is on the homepage

"fatal error: Call to undefined function displayOptimizationTips() in index.php on line 192"

index.php

as suggested the in post you cited, you can have try to this.

Copy a new admin folder from original package of 1.4 final, but use different folder name.
try this new copied folder as new admin folder, to see if it fixes your problem.

thanks , but nothing changed

  • 3 months later...

  1. Backup whole database!
  2. Make fresh installation 1.4.x and export tables: ps_access, ps_tab, ps_tab_lang
  3. Replace these tables in the upgraded database
  4. All problems with tabs will be resolved

Note: if you're using different table prefix, change ps_ with your own prefix

The upgrade script is not tested by PrestaShop team very well.
