There you go Prestashop Team.. huge bug here... latest ps version: Products get deleted (order product array no longer populated) from order when product deleted from catalog.

BTW, on a latest install of PS 1.7.6.2. I tried what you are suggesting: delete a product, which was ordered. I cannot confirm any bug here. The product still remains in the placed order (the only what is removed from order is the picture of the product, to save FTP resources. But this is normal behave). Perhaps you are using some special things to provoke this behavior.
