Customer sometimes can't login in Front-End

Hello,

We have a problem with the login that is driving us crazy. Several users contact us and tell us that they register and then they cannot access. It does not happen to all users and is solved using a private browsing or clearing history. I attached a video with the example. Do you have any idea where the problem is coming from? It also happens in AMP.

 

We have done many tests and we reproduce the error:

1. enter the account

2. put products in the basket

3. empty the basket

4. disconnect session

5. put products back in the basket

7. you put products back in the basket and it works well

8. You cannot login to confirm the purchase

we use prestashop 1.7, we have upgraded from 1.6

Check your cache settings, if you have MEMCACHE or PHP caches disable it

on step 6, have chrome tools open to console to display errors

also check your apache error log and look for issue when you reproduce.

most often this is result of a cache 'module', if you have one of the PS cache modules uninstall as disable does not always remove overrides (which don't check if module is enabled), in our experience there is not 'one' ps cache module that works.  avoid

If you have one of "cache" modules I want to admit you have to clear its cache, disable and only then uninstall.
