I know that it sounds like a silly problem but it is not. There seems to be a bug somewhere. The only working BO user is the one created when installing prestashop. When I try to edit this user a button is shown to change his current password. In contrast any new user created with a new password cannot login to the BO. When opening a new user account in the backoffice with the initial user admin account created when installing prestashop I can see that the button to change his password is missing! It seems that prestashop did not save the new user password. Anyone please help.

I get no errors in debug mode. The Back office login page give me an error that the email or the password for the new user is incorrect. Thank you again

Hi to all, I am using prestashop 8.04 I am trying to create a new back office user. I create the user but he can not login to the backoffice. His account is active and I have checked everything so many times. I cannot understand what the problem is. When I open the new user entry for editing I can see that the password field is totally empy. Like it did not store the password I typed in when initially creating the new user. This is not the same as my own admin account where the password is displayed in the form ********** with a button to change it! Can someone please help me? Thank you

The problem was the setup of the search page as a two colum page. You can do it in the backoffice seetings for the classic theme.

Hi, I am using prestashop 8.0.4. When performing a search with the search bar the page that is displayed with the results contains a grid where every row has 4 products. Is there a way to change this to display 5 or 6 products? What files should be edited? Thank you

When I select a manufactor from the stock prestashop menu such as Hyundai I get the correct reply with the faceted search working.

Yes the hooks are DisplayLeftColumn and DisplaySearch. Should I hook it somewhere else? Yes I have created a new filter , assigned the product page at the top and selected all categories of products. I have also rebuilt all indexes.

Hi I have installed prestashop 8.04. When I search for products with the default search bar on the top right of the home page I can not see the faceted search moduled on the left column on the search result page. When using a different search tool from another module everything works fine. Any suggestions? Thank you George

Hi I am using Prestashop 1.6.0.6 and have been translating the email templates to Greek in the Backoffice. I have changed the order numbering scheme of Prestashop from Non_Numeric to Numeric. Each new order gets a 9 digit order number. Everything works ok. I checked the email that the customer receives upon his order placement (Order_conf) and noticed that the total amount paid {total_paid} no longer appears at the end of the email, as it did before. All other data concerning the order appear ok. The tag {total_paid} is in the HTML version of the mail fine. It is not filled in when the email is generated and sent to the customer. I first noticed this problem after changing the order numbering scheme of Prestashop. I do not know if this is the reason because if I revert to the Non_Numeric numbering scheme the problem remains. As many know when translating emails in the backoffice many problems have been known to be generated and maybe the one I am facing also. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you George

Ok. I had to disable the default prestashop seach module. I forgot to disable it from Display Header hook. Now everything is ok. Thanks archSandy
