  1. hi all I have migrated my local store from EasyPHP windows to Linux abuntu 14.04 I just get a white page, no errors, nothing. I have installed a new version of prestashop as well and it works fine, but the migration of my previous one does not work. What I did are the followings: The setting config file has been changed to point to the imported database. If for example I change the password in my config file to an incorrect one I get "can't establish connection to database", meaning I can exclude errors in the config file. The virtual webhosting (Apache Mysql php5) in linux setup works. If I change my index.php to a index.php test page to display a "hello" message, it works In the database "_Shop_URL" I have put the correct value. I have changed permission (I think) for the whole directory of the migrated store to match the permission of the new installation Any idea?? Thanks Pier
  2. Jimmy First thing thank you for taking the time to reply in such as details. I've made the changes and managed to mode the phone and contact details right to left and vice-versa. However, the "Move the Search Block to the right." did not make changes. Probably I am not sure what those lines (.col-xs-9, .col-xs-10 ect...) are exactly. The image I attach is the default theme (with red background for more clarity); I've reloaded it as I lost track of the changes. The cart still does not move to the rightmost position. The search bar is the same. It seems that whatever I do, they've reach the rightmost position possible. Do you have any tip? Regards Pier p.s. I'm using 1.6.1.3 too
  3. Hi Sorry for coming in to your post, but I am looking for something similar, so perhaps we can share experience and hopefully someone more skilfully can kindly help us. The image I have attached shows 3 snapshots of attempts to position the search block and cart on to the navbar. First snapshot: (ignore the search in the header). How can I move the phone number to the right, next to the "Contact us" and "Sign in" ? Second snapshot: How can I move the search box to the right, near the cart? Also is it possible have cart and search box one on top of the other and both on the right? Third snapshot: Same problem for the search box. However, I would like to move the cart to the right, so in order I want: Contact us, Sign in, Shopping cart. I tried changing positions in the back office but it does nothing. Thanks all Pier Presentation1.pdf
  4. thanks for your reply. I guess I need to expand more, I've realized that now. Yes, I mean the popup up box. I've installed a new theme, and the popup notification has gone. Is there the possibility to make it come back? Cheers Pier
  5. Hi all I can't make the Add to Cart Notification work in the new version 1.6.1.1 Any tips?
  6. Hi all Does anyone know how to configure the add to cart function? I was looking to get a popup confirmation. When I add to cart, it does the job, but it may not be that clear to a client that the item was succeffully added. Please help Thanks Pier
  7. Hi all Before writing this I tried to read various forums. My site works in localhost If I install prestashop directly on to GoDaddy host it works If I migrate from local to GoDaddy it works (just the home page) except that if I follow any link I get the "404 - File or directory not found" error. My settings in Preferences -> SEO/URL are as below and did not change from local to host. Any help please? 8. Hi all Please see the attached images How do I change the colour in zone 1 and zone 2 but leaving the white background in between? in the global.css I've changed background: #FFFFFF; as follows: header { z-index: 1; position: relative; background: #FFFFFF; /*colour Between Zone 1 and Zone 2, but it actually colours the whole row */ padding-bottom: 10px; } header .banner { Thanks in advance Pier
  10. Paul first thing, many thanks for your quick reply. Second, it works and I have now the tools to play around. THanks a lot Pier.
  11. Hi all I have changed the colour of the top banner nav, but I can't change its length. I modified the global.css at line 5501 (about there) When I do a zoom zoom out, the banner (and the footer) extends over the whole page. I would like them both to be in line with the horizontal top menu. The attached file shows circles in blue the part I want to be white Is anyone there who could suggest how to do it? Thank P.
  13. hi all I tried to set up a multiple store and I think I need a clarification about a few concepts. Assume my home page is www.mystore.com , which is a central hub and does not have any item for sales, just images and links to store1 and store2. Store1 and Store2 are different in appearance, products and categories and I want them the following links: www.mystore.com/Store1 www.mystore.com/Store2 My questions are: 1- Do I need a prestashop installation for all of the followings: a. www.mystore.com b. www.mystore.com/Store1 c.www.mystore.com/Store2 If yes, then each shop installation will have its' admin folder and I then believe I cannot control and share clients on all shops. Also, if I enable the multistore option in the hub shop (www.myshop.com), do I need to do it on all the others? I hope I explained myself well enugh thanks in advance Pier
