  1. Checked and no PHP or mysql errors logged. from looking here: http://build.prestashop.com/news/updated-1-click-upgrade-module/ It seems a lot of people are running into the same error. Thinking I might just stay put on 1.6 until a new one click update module is released.
  2. Ok, so I tried completly removing the old 1click upgrade module, and installed the new 1.7.1.1 upgrade module, this allowed it to download and proceed to install, however after about 10 minutes of running the database upgrade it failed with the same error again.as above max execution is set to 60,000. All files upgraded. Now upgrading database... [Ajax / Server Error for action upgradeDb] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:"Internal Server Error " jqXHR: " Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at root@localhost to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. " Errors File 17012015.tar (size: 293212160) has been skipped during backup. Any further ideas?
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, Bellini, my Maximum execution time is 60,000, and no matter what I set it to it stops at the same space. Racemaniac, I tried installing the latest 1click update, but I didn't try removing the old one first, i'll try this now. What I dd however notice was if I tried to upgrade to 1.7.1.1 with the latest version it would fail with the ajax error before it extracted the files, but If I uploaded 1.7.2.0 to the download folder it would upgrade everything but then fail at the database. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the module as you did and report back.
  4. Hello, I took a leap and decided to try the upgrade to 1.7 (I've taken a full backup, and have tried this upgrade a couple of times now). it is now getting a fair way though and failing on upgrading the database. I have tried going from 1.6.1.15 to both 1.7.1.1 and 1.7.2.0, using both the updated 1.7.1.1 one clickupdate module and the stock 1.6.1.15 module. I keep getting stuck on this error: "All files upgraded. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.". Anyone have any ideas? a lot of searching of this error for previous versions suggested an issue with the server config (zip specifically), but I'm not sure if this is the case as the upgrade from 1.5 to 1.6 went well. I'm running my own VPS with Centos so I am able to play with the server config if need be. If anyone else has attempted this upgrade I'd also be interested in hearing from you. Interestingly on the front end and the backend I get the error: Error: "install" directory is missing I'm going to revert to my backup and try again. Cheers
  5. Hey Thanks Bellini, I think you are on the money, as I tried a fresh install of prestashop and I got the same blank white page instead of the setup page. I've looked though the error logs and I can't see any errors at the time i try to load the page (or any that look related) I ran phpinfo on both the old and the new server and compared them line by line, the following PHP modules are on the old server but not the new, do you know if Prestashop requires any of these? bcmath memcache soap tidy Cheers in advance.
  6. Hello, I have just moved my Prestashop 1.5.6.3 store to a new VPS. The front end appears to be working well, but when I go to admin I get a blank white page. Now I have gone into config\defines.inc.php and checked that debugging is on "define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true);" which it is. But i'm still getting a blank page. Anything I've missed here? is prestashop not reading defines.inc.php for some reason? I don't believe it is permissions related as even with everything set as 0777 it still happens, (I've set permissions back to folders 0755 files 0644). On a side note for when I fix this does anyone have a link to what permissions should be set post install? (I know 755 and 644 is ideal for most files and folders, but I'm aware there are some exceptions, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information). Cheers
  7. Hello, I have just recently had to restore our store after the webserver we were hosted on had a failure, the site is mostly up and working now however on the single page checkout if you checkout as guest and press save after entering your details you get the following error: (this is with friendly URL's turned on" "TECHNICAL ERROR: unable to save adresses Details: Error thrown: [object Object] Text status: error" If I turn friendly urls off the error does not appear and it works, other people who have a similar error have reported that they have switched to the 5 step checkout process which bypasses this error, if I switch to the 5 step process with friendly url's on I get a 404 error for the order page (it loads with friednly urls off). On the seo & Urls page in backoffice next to Friednly urls I get the following message: "URL rewriting (mod_rewrite) is not active on your server, or it is not possible to check your server configuration. If you want to use Friendly URLs, you must activate this mod". I have also tried recreating the .htacess file with no change in behavior. I am running Apache 2.4.6 (on the prevouis webserver I was running an older version of apache), on doing some reading I believe that the way that mod_rewrite works on this version of apache may be different to 2.2, does anyone have it working with 2.4.6 and prestashop? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I have considered attempting to downgrade apache, but am afraid i'll break things further so I am happy to try a few more things first to avoid the downgrade, (if that is even where the problem lays). *Edit: I am running Prestashop 1.5.6.3
  8. Hello, I manage my own VPS server that hosts prestashop and I decided to run some updates including upgrading php to 5.4. however I failed to disable caching on my store before the upgrade, which I now believe was the root of my issues, duh. After the upgrade I just received a blank screen on both the front page and PS backend, after turning on debugging mode I got errors like Fatal error: Call to undefined function apc_cache_info() in prestashop I then followed some guides that suggested to mainly clear the cache via ftp which I deleted everything from these folders prestashop\cache\smarty\compile prestashop\cache\smarty\cache prestashop\themes\mytheme\cache After this I received another error Fatal error: Class 'Cache' not found in /home/occasionhamp/public_html/classes/db/Db.php on line 510 at this point I decided to try and tun off caching to see if that could let me into the backend, to then clear it from there before enabling it again. I tried to turn caching off from phpmyadmin but failed to see how, I then found a guide that suggested edit the file /config/settings.inc.php changing the following line: define ( '_PS_CACHE_ENABLED_' , '1 ' ); by define ( '_PS_CACHE_ENABLED_' , '0 ' ); after this I now get the following error and have no idea what to try next: Fatal error: Class 'Cache' not found in /classes/ObjectModel.php on line 1584 My other sites hosted on the same server (wordpress) work fine after the upgrade, any ideas on what i can try next, I suppose ideally i'm looking to either, properly clear the cache on my site, or turn caching off via phpmyadmin or ftp. also would you expect upgrading the php version with caching turned on to cause this error? I am running PrestaShop v1.6.0.14 Massive advance thanks
  9. I too have this problem but in 1.5.6.2 after upgrading from 1.5.3.1. Does anyone know if there is a way to repopulate these in the BO? If I make a change will it wipe the other values?
  10. yeah, on 1.5.6.2 here and I got prompted to upgrade to PC3.3.5, as omino and Milos suggested it was our old theme's where the problem layed with the PC update. After the above fix to my theme its working fine now.
  11. This fixed my issue (custom theme, 1.5.6.2) interestingly only broke once I updated to product comments 3.3.5, but ultimately was a theme error.
  12. Hi Antakarana, I have tried to play with it but limited success, I signed up an application at https://developer.paypal.com, and entered in my test details, this brought the login button to the register an account page and checkout, oh exciting I thought. However clicking it I got an auth error, it then turned out I was a n00b and hadn't enabled the right features in the application, but after doing so I couldn't get the paypal login button to reappear. I even tried completely removing my paypal module and recompiling the theme and resetting both site and user cache. no no idea whats going on, it sounds like a cool feature though. Did you have any success yet?
  13. I'd also like to be able to display the rating for each criteria as well. Any suggestions?
  14. It'd be awesome if it were possible to limit the additional cost per item to certain shipping methods. We have one shipping method where the user pays per item, but that's only cost effective up to so many items. so setting this value would affect the price of the other combined methods too.
  15. they've closed it saying just offer free postage Can everyone post a comment on the request? http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCFV-11468 , hopefully then it might be taken more seriously.
